About HomewardHounds

HomewardHounds is a first-of-its-kind collaboration between HomewardBound of the Grand Valley and Roice-Hurst Humane Society to provide temporary shelter for people experiencing homelessness with their dogs. Individuals no longer have to make the difficult choice between separating from their beloved pets or risking personal safety by staying out in the elements.

Each 8’ X 8’ shelter is private, heated and cooled, and located within a fence and badge-controlled area at HBGV.

Roice-Hurst is a nonprofit animal shelter that provides housing, individualized behavioral and medical treatment, and daily care for homeless dogs and cats in Grand Junction and Delta, as we as resources for pet owners to percent pet surrenders and promote bonds between pets and their people.
