City of Grand Junction partners with Non-Profits to Help Unhoused

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — The City of Grand Junction has partnered with multiple non-profit organizations to assist the unhoused after the closing of Whitman Park. Our Reporter Alex Prieto-Rivero spoke to Eric Niederkruger, an advocate for the unhoused, Rick Smith, The Executive Director of Homeward Bound Grand Valley, and Mayor Anna Stout on the plan to build an 8,000-square-foot facility for the unhoused on the corner of Ute Avenue and S 2nd Street.
