Once homeless himself, HomewardBound's Chief of Staff learned to roll with the punches

Sometimes in life you have to get hit in order to win, and Chris Masters has been hit a lot.

The 40-year-old, who says he feels 25, HomewardBound Chief of Staff was living in a homeless shelter in South Carolina a few years ago. His mom and his brother already lived here, so he decided to pack up his belongs and come to Colorado but not before he secured transportation.

”I got a job working at a church, earned enough money, saved up, bought a car, drove to Grand Junction,” Masters said.

He went directly into and lived at HomewardBound’s shelter on North Avenue.
