The Resource Center
HomewardBound of the Grand Valley is proud to be working in collaboration with United Way of Mesa County and The City of Grand Junction to bring this unhoused resource center to the community. Services are provided in a hard-sided pavilion that can be cooled and/or heated depending on the weather.
The center operates with low barriers to entry and includes portable restrooms, showers, and opportunities for meals to be provided-- along with a centralized space for service providers to offer resource navigation for unhoused community members. HomewardBound provides professional staff at the site during hours of operation and works with a collective of other service providers, nonprofits, and faith-based organizations to provide services for those in need.
The resource center is located on city-owned property at 261 Ute Avenue. The center is currently intended to be temporary, and the longer-term future may be dependent upon the evolving community needs.
